- straight IT undergraduate courses are not attractive to females: maybe target postgraduate studies
- present positive messages: come to IT and solve the problems of the world! be change agents (“we need more females” is a negative message)
- promote the problem-solving benefits of technology, as facilitator: cotent, not solution
- active CS (student) group run by females
- casual class supervision should ensure at least one female supervisor where there are multiple supervisors
- where is “IT Without Borders” to do the equivalent of Engineers Without Borders
