Eighteen Deans, Heads of Schools or their
representatives attended the ACDICT Annual Council Meeting (with
one apology due to Sydney's fog) On 5–6 July 2018, at the Female Orphan School on Western Sydney University Parramatta Campus
New President, Deputy President and members of Executive
At the Annual Council Meeting 5-6 July 2018 a new executive was inducted. There were the same number of nominations as vacancies in the executive. The new executive is:
- President: Prof Katrina Falkner, University of Adelaide (to 2020)
- Deputy President (and president-elect): Associate Professor Trina Myers, James Cook University(to 2020)
- Immediate past president: Prof Maurice Pagnucco, UNSW (to 2020)
- ordinary executive member: Prof Simeon Simoff, Western Sydney University (to 2020)
- ordinary executive member: Prof Andrew Woodward, Edith Cowan University (to 2019)
- ordinary executive member: Peta Wyeth, Queensland University of Technology (to July 2020)
Many thanks to our retired and resigned members of the executive, Professor
Iwona Miliszewska UTS, Professor Justin Zobel, University of Melbourne, and
Dr Simon, University of Newcastle.

ALTA Forum 2018 at UNSW Kensington NSW 5–6 April 2018 |
Up to three people from member universities were invited to attend
the ACDICT Academy Learning and Teaching Forum (ALTA) at
UNSW, 5–6 April 2018. 39 people came, from 28 different universities... and 11 guest speakers and panellists.

Elections for members of executive Three positions on the
executive were open. Three nominations were received, all were
therefore declared elected. The new executive members are Trina Myers
(JCU), Andrew Woodward (ECU), Justin Zobel (Melbourne). Morri
Pagnucco (UNSW) remains President, Iwona Miliszewska (UTS) immediate
past-president, Katrina Falkner (Adelaide) Vice-president; Chris Johnson (ACDICT Executive Officer) is an executive member ex officio
